After a hard fought game, LB1 defeated RVC1 7-6 to take the title of NY D30 12U Champs 2016. With stellar pitching, sparkling defense, timely hitting, great base running, and some key walks, the gals survived a 6th inning push by a tough RVC team and gutted it out for the win, with Natalie Lessard striking out the final RVC batter. Lainie Kassap's GRAND SLAM earned her bragging rights and the game ball! All of the girls should be proud of the way they played, this game and throughout the entire season, they were sometimes down but they were never out. A big THANK YOU to all of the parents who helped out at practices, brought snacks to keep the kids going, and made the time to show up at game after game to cheer for the team. We couldn't have done it without you. It's been a great season and a pleasure coaching these kids. GO BEACH!
