Library Holds Donation Drive For Ukraine Relief

The Long Beach Public Library is requesting various items, including baby supplies and non-perishable food.

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Public Library, in conjunction with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, is holding a donations drive for Ukraine.

The library is only accepting certain items, including:

  • Non-glass baby bottles
  • Non-glass infant formula
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • First aid kits
  • Feminine products
  • Neosporin, Tylenol, Motrin, aspirin
  • Non-perishable food

Clothing is not being requested.

The library is working with Anna Forte, who was born in Kyiv and came to the US when she was eight years old. She has many family members still in Ukraine, working with donationforukraine.com to receive provisions. The library said supplies are getting flown to Poland and then head over the border by trucks to Ukraine.
