Lifeguards and Life
I sat on our Long Beach shore to take some photos. I wasn't going to write about them this time. But,

the photos called to me—add words.
I wanted to relax after my last essay about Mindy. So I took a beach buggy full of photo gear, pretzels, iced tea, and sat on our sand.
In one week, so much leaped out at me, in the sky, on the sea, on our sands.

I had so much fun shooting all the wildlife and the not-so-wildlife.
Then, before me, a lifeguard crew trained on our jetty.

So much action, so much drama, so much camaraderie. I could see they put their hearts into their training; they put their hearts into their job—saving lives.
I had a fantastic time shooting, shooting, shooting.
But when I looked at what I had, I saw I had not only caught motion—I captured emotion .
Yes, you guessed it, I could not just post the photos but add my comments too.
