Lazar LaPenna, 10, died in April, after collapsing during a game.

LONG BEACH, NY — The boy, who died suddenly from an epileptic seizure, has gotten another posthumous honor.
Lazar LaPenna, the 10-year-old from Long Beach, who died on the little league field in April, will have his name live on at a camp where he and his family spent several years.
"It was so touching," his father, Gregg LaPenna, a guest on "Patch AM," said.

His father admitted that Lazar would have loved the accolades.
"He was that type of kid. So it's bittersweet. I wish he was here with me," Gregg LaPenna said.
LaPenna plans to work with the Epilepsy Foundation as a lasting legacy for his son.
"Obviously this is a life-changing moment," he said. "There is a run that is being planned out with the city of Long Beach. That will be a charity event for the Epilepsy Foundation."
He is also committed to making sure little league fields are equipped with defibrillators.
"That way something like this can be prevented," LaPenna said. "That's my new mission in life."
