Local kids vandalize the new boardwalk, do you know where your kids were last night?
Do you know where your kids were last night, Sunday, October 13? I’m sure one of the 25 kids belongs to someone you know. There is no school today so they were out riding bikes and hanging on the beach, which is totally fine by me. But when they become destructive, vandals, disrespectful and yelling at adults in the most vulgar manner I wonder what will become of your children.
It’s almost the one year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy and the boardwalk is near completion. To have your children come hang out on the beach and vandalize our new boardwalk by knocking down all the street barriers, tipping the workman’s port-a-potty on its side and kicking and breaking the construction of the beach ramp is not only unacceptable, it is outright a f**k you to all of us who live or visit Long Beach. We came to help you clean out your homes during the days and months after the storm, we brought supplies, food and holiday stockings and I am sure some of these kids wreaking havoc last night were recipients of these kind gestures. While I understand kids don’t have much to do here in town but becoming vandals is not something I will tolerate, especially since this is my home.
No lights on the boardwalk so I was not able to take pictures of these kids and as soon as they saw the police cars they all scattered like cockroaches. They were so “manly” just a few minutes prior when they were vandalizing everything in sight and now they run like the cowards that they really are.

Have a chat with your teenagers and remind them how they should act in public and what they destroyed last night was something that you paid for with your taxes. How would they feel if a bunch of kids came to your newly constructed home and kicked down the new fence and tipped over all your newly potted plants?
I’m asking my building for the security footage from 9pm last night to see if we can get the faces of these kids and if it’s available I will be posting.
