Waterfront Warriors Fundraiser: A Noble Cause
If you want to help support the men and women who were wounded while battling to protect our freedoms, then head to the Annual Long Beach Waterfront Warriors Fundraiser at starting at 4 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds from this event will provide for a week of activities in Long Beach for wounded, injured and ill veterans of war. The $40 covers three hours of open bar and hors d'oeurves.

From July 5 to 8, Long Beach plays host to the 4th Annual Barrier Beach Blues and Arts Festival. Pick up a glass of your favorite red or white at Lola's Kitchen & Wine Bar and listen to The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn starting at 9 p.m. Friday. At the same time on Saturday, Li'l Cliff & The Cliffhangers will perform, and Michael Barnett Blues Band will close the festival at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Are you a Pearl Jam fan? If so, then head to Bahia Social Club on Friday at 10 p.m. and listen to Last Exit pay tribute to the grunge band. Enjoy specialty drinks such as the Caipirnha Sunset — a blend of pineapple, pomegranate and maracuya juice on top of Brazilian cachucha, muddled lime and sugar — or the watermelon and jalapeno mojito complete with jalapeno infused vodka, while you strum along to all your favorite tunes.
