Long Beach Holds Prescription Drug Take Back Day
The Oct. 29 event is aimed at eliminating potentially dangerous drugs that are no longer being used.
LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency for Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
The Saturday, Oct. 29 event allows residents to rid themselves of potentially dangerous prescription medications from their medicine cabinet.
A collection site will be made available outside of City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The city is joining teaming with Long Beach Aware, a not-for-profit organization that has worked toward decreasing substance abuse since it started in 2013.
