Long Beach Residents Can Clean Up Environment With Earth Day Recycling
It takes place behind City Hall on Saturday, April 22.
LONG BEACH, NY — The City of Long Beach is helping clean up the neighborhood, one shred at a time.
In commemoration of Earth Day, the city is hosting a free recycling event.
As part of the Saturday, April 22 activity, residents can have documents shredded. Residents must bring proof of residency to participate. There is a limit of three file boxes per car.

In addition, old electronics will be recycled, including computers, monitors, printers, TVs and VCRs.
Saturday's Earth Day event behind City Hall is "drive up and drop off" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enter at Centre Street.

Any hazardous materials should be saved for the S.T.O.P. event on Sunday, April 23
