He serves as Vice President of National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is a three-sport varsity athlete who is on the volleyball, track and tennis teams. Schneider’s musical talents are expressed through his contributions to the marching band, for which he is drum major, as well as pit orchestra and jazz ensemble, in which he plays the clarinet and alto saxophone. Outside of school, Schneider helps to make a difference in the community. He and a friend initiated the Long Beach Color Run fundraiser last spring, which resulted in a donation of nearly $5,000 to the Theresa Academy of Performing Arts. He also volunteers at South Nassau Communities Hospital. Schneider experienced the working world this past summer when he interned at an accounting firm. He hopes to take on a double major in finance and psychology when he goes to college.
