Long Island Artist has Art Show to Benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation this Thursday, October 6
ART Fundraiser held at Briarcliffe College, Bethpage, NY
Lisa L Cangemi, is a professional art director, art instructor,
curator and of course, and artist. Cangemi is a life-long south shore
Long Island resident. She has had Type 1 diabetes for over 50 years.
Each year, for all of her adult life, Cangemi has done the annual JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation- Long Island)
walks, and helped raise money for helping to find a cure. Cangemi never
would have believed, all these years, that a cure hasn't been found, but
many improvements have been made for the lives of people with Type 1
(insulin-dependent) and Type 2 Diabetes. Thanks to the research done through the JDRF.
This week, at Briarcliffe College, 1055 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY
11714, Cangemi has a week-long show, selling her art . Cangemi says,
'Buying a piece of art is something that can make a person happy, as
well as donating to a great organization.'
The reception is Thursday , October 6 at 6pm to 9pm.

where MOST pieces of art are still for sale, and still going to raise
funding for the JDRF.
