Man Crashes Into Parked Cars With His Young Child In Car: Police

Christopher Stoger faces charges that include driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law, Nassau police said.

ISLAND PARK, NY — A Island Park man is facing a charge of DWI-Leandra's Law.

Christopher Stoger, 41, was driving a 2019 black Chevrolet SUV at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday when he struck a parked vehicle, police said.

After hitting the vehicle on Marina Place near Long Beach Road, Stoger fled the scene and struck two more vehicles, detectives said.

Stoger was arrested after an investigation by police, who discovered the man's four-year-old daughter was in the vehicle with him.

The girl was placed into the custody of the mother.

No one was injured.

Stoger was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday. He faces charges of driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of leaving the scene of an incident.
