Nassau Police Looking For Man Scammed Woman Out Of Thousands
Police say the man falsely claimed the woman's son was in a car crash and he needed money for bail. Do you know who he is?
Nassau County police are searching for a man who scammed a senior citizen living in Oceanside out of tens of thousands of dollars.
According to police, an 81-year-old woman received a call from an unknown man on Dec. 3 who said that her son was involved in a car crash that caused injuries, and she needed to give him $7,500 for bail. The woman arranged for a cash transaction to happen at her home.
After the woman paid the money, the man contacted her again for an additional $7,500, saying that the bail was raised. He told the woman that a pregnant woman was injured in the crash and that her baby had died. The woman paid the money.

The man was captured on a surveillance system the woman had. He was driving a dark, four-door Honda.
