Orangetheory Fitness Hosts Local Dinner Event to Raise Money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation

Orangetheory Fitness of Rockville Centre will gather for a Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner on October 24, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Mio Posto in Oceanside. The month of October is dedicated to fundraising towards Breast Cancer Awareness, the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women.
The fitness studio has several other events planned to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. These include an organization of a team for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 19, 2014 and the dedication of one weekend in the next month where they will offer free classes with a donation. It’s an amazing concept to fundraise for a charity, while getting together with family, friends, co-workers, and the community.
“We chose to get involved in this campaign because breast cancer awareness is close to many of our hearts,” states Nick Galanis, owner of Orangetheory Fitness of Rockville Centre. “Our company wants to provide support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and their mission of hope for those with breast cancer. Ever since our studio opening in April, our staff and members have formed into a family. There is no question that we will all come together and support this cause, as well as the rest of the community.”
Tickets for this event will be sold beginning October 2nd at Orangetheory’s Rockville Centre studio. This ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, one-hour open bar, coffee and dessert. The studio will donate 50 percent of all ticket sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
In addition to the proceeds from ticket sales, the Orangetheory team will be selling raffle tickets for baskets and prizes donated by generous local businesses. Orangetheory will also sell “Orange goes Pink” Breast Cancer t- shirts. One hundred percent of these sales will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation as well.
