• New Details Emerge On Devastating Tornado That Ripped Into LI Beach Club: NWS (patch.com) — Residents along the South Shore are learning more about the EF-1 tornado that tore through Atlantic Beach's Sun and Surf Beach Club, damaging dozens of bungalows and cars but causing no injuries. Nassau County mobilized major emergency resources, nearby New York Beach Club opened its doors to displaced members, and City of Long Beach officials reported no damage within city limits despite the intense storm.
