Peace or Pieces
Do you walk the boardwalk or the sands and not just see, but—feel—the moment? That's fantastic…but...

… we have a dark reality to face as well.
We all love our little City by the Sea, especially the boards and beach. It’s a highlight in our lives.
I’ve written before about our shore and how I contrast a blissful moment with the dark realities of life in America. I did that here once more, but this time, maybe a bit more vividly.

I felt I needed to. You might agree, but maybe not.
I manage to find a bit of bliss anytime of year in Long Beach.

Springtime is special for me because it’s a harbinger of summer to come. Spring is full of potential, anticipation. To watch the oystercatchers swoop and screech, the waves thunder, the boards come alive with joggers, bikers, strollers, brightens the day. And I bring you photos and observations of those in this photo essay post.
Our shore also helps bring us to mindfulness, being present. Many of us seek the peace, the bliss of our Long Beach shore. It’s our way of getting out of the “news” of the day. It’s a much needed respite. It’s good to seek that.
But there’s a time to seek and a time to speak. This time I’ve chosen both:
Be well,
