Pearl Harbor Ceremony For Thousands Who Perished 80 Years Ago
Long Beach City Hall will hold the commemoration on Dec. 7.

LONG BEACH, NY — The city of Long Beach is holding a special ceremony for the military men and women who died when the Japanese Air Force attacked Pearl Harbor.
Dec. 7 marks the 80th anniversary of the "Day of Infamy" as President Franklin Roosevelt described it in a speech to Congress.
The City Hall commemoration, also organized by the Joint Veterans Organization of Long Beach, will honor the 2,400 soldiers, marines and seamen who were killed in the attack at the Hawaiian base.
