Point Lookout Inventor Invited to Nassau's 'Million Dollar Idea' Event

A Point Lookout inventor will be one of 11 featured guests at The Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club's “The Next Million Dollar Idea” showcase Monday.

Glen Simmons, of Maho Products in Point Lookout, who has invented a new pool vacuum called Aqua Vac, will be on hand at the Theodore Roosevelt County Executive and Legislative Building from 7-9 p.m. for the annual gathering of creators.

"The Maho Aqua vac comes complete with charging unit, custome pleated filter, Filter basket along with two nylon filter basket liners, three foot specialty hose and a commercial vacuum head," according to the website.

On hand at the event will be Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano; Brian Fried, president of Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club; and Nick Turzulli, director of business development, Nassau County Industrial Development Agency.
