Popular Holiday Parade Returns To Long Beach

The festivities are scheduled for December 11.

LONG BEACH, NY — A new holiday tradition resumes with the 8th Annual Long Beach Electric Light Parade.

It takes place on Sat., Dec. 11. in the West End.

The parade route runs along West Beech Street starting at Ohio Avenue and ending on Grand Avenue.

People should assemble beginning at 4:30. The parade steps off at 6 p.m.

There is a $40 entry fee to have your vehicle in the parade. The fee must be received by Dec. 3.

Vehicles must line up in the Sands parking lot in Atlantic Beach at 4:30 p.m.

The city is only accepting 80 entries, including marching and pipe bands. All entries must be holiday-themed, the city said.

Restaurants will offer special dinner meals and kids activities.
