PSEG LI Gives $2,700 To Beautify Long Beach's Gateway Park

The funds will create new shrubs, flowers and lighting.

LONG BEACH, NY — PSEG Long Island is giving back to Long Beach to enhance a beautification program for the West End.

The utility company delivered a $2,760 grant for the open space area bordering Atlantic Beach on Beech Street.

"The West End Beautification Association was delighted to receive a PSEG Long Island Outdoor Commerce and Beautification grant to enable us to renovate Long Beach Gateway Park, which memorializes longtime resident Irwin Koff," said Mary Ellen Pollina, founder and co-director of the Long Beach West End Beautification Association. “We were able to use this funding to add dozens of flowering shrubs, grasses and perennials plus stunning new lighting to the area."

Since 2020, PSEG Long Island has given more than $360,000 to support outdoor aesthetic enhancements across Long Island and the Rockaways.
