Scaffolding Collapse Leaves Workers Hanging
The two men were dangling from the side of a building until their coworkers could pull them up.

Two workers spent a harrowing few minutes hanging from the side of a building in Long Beach on Thursday after the scaffolding they were on collapsed.
The Long Beach Fire Department got the call for the collapse at 2:34 p.m. at a building on Lincoln Boulevard and East Broadway. When units arrived, the workers had already been pulled to safety by their coworkers, but the scaffolding was still hanging dangerously.
The accident was caused when bricks on the side of the building came loose and fell onto the scaffolding. The weight of the bricks caused it to snap in half.
