School Budget Vote May 17: Residents To Decide On $152 Million Budget
The vote takes place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

LONG BEACH, NY — Long Beach homeowners can decide on the 2022-2023 school budget on Tuesday, May 17.
The second draft for the budget stands at nearly $152 million, an increase of $7.1 million, or 4.9 percent from the previous year.
The tax levy (including the STAR payment) is $105,880,305, with no change from the previous budget.

Long Beach has allocated another $330,000 in state aid.
The second budget draft is $124,000 reduced from the first draft, Long Beach schools said.

The vote, which includes the election of school board trustees, takes place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lindell Elementary School, East Elementary School and Lido/Middle School.
