Nutrition Tip: Don’t say “I’m on a diet.” That is the first step to an unsuccessful outcome. Sounds weird right? A diet is something that has a beginning, and an end! People are trying a lot of these extreme diets that restrict various food groups, or attempt to “cleanse” themselves. Might you lose some weight on the short term, maybe. Some of these diets throw off your metabolism and your basal metabolic rate, but I will get into that more in future emails. These diets are not built for a life-long health and success. That is ultimately what we are shooting for. Make your proper eating habits a lifestyle. This is how I eat, period. Whether it was last week, tomorrow, or next year, this is how I eat. These three words should be your mantra when it comes to “diet.” Balance (between all the nutrients), Moderation (it is ok to eat foods you enjoy, just do it once in a while, and in moderation!), and the most difficult one for people, Consistency. http://www.seriousbeachfitness.com/
