Simians By The Sea

These are troubling times, my friends, no matter your perspective. And it seems there is no safe harbor. But it only seems that way.

If you really look around you, especially on our Long Beach shore, you can find a smile or two, a safe haven.

Human interactions are fine even necessary, but sometimes there are serious downsides, judgments, bias, politics. I find that our non-human friends are the safe resource. They love unconditionally, they don’t usually come with a lot of baggage, they very often put a smile on our faces.

If you have one at home, you know what of I speak. They put fun in our homes, joy in our lives. But some of us can’t have a pet for various reasons.

If you don’t have non-human contact, even a wild one, maybe look to others who do have one. They can be amazingly entertaining.

I came upon a duo on our Long Beach boardwalk who are a delight to visit.
