Synagogue Reflects On Holocaust Remembrance Day

Temple Emanu-el of Long Beach will host a special service on April 28.

LONG BEACH, NY — Following the eight days of Passover, Temple Emanu-el of Long Beach is commemorating Yom HaShoah-- Holocaust Remembrance Day -- on April 28.

Rabbi Jack Zanerhaft will lead the synagogue's special ceremony.

Guests will light six candles, each memorializing a million deaths. Cantor Lisa Kantor will perform a musical selection.
