Water Rescue Off Long Beach; 2 People Taken To Hospital
Lifeguards and a good Samaritan brought the three people to safety.
LONG BEACH, NY — Three people had to be rescued from the water off Long Beach on Thursday evening. They were brought to the shore by Emergency Lifeguard Crew and a good Samaritan.
The call came in at approximately 6:50 p.m. for the emergency off the Lincoln Boulevard section of the beach, CBS2 reported.
They were stable, but two of the injured were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, a Long Beach spokesperson said.

He urged people to remember there is "no swimming when lifeguards are off duty."
