'WILDWOOD - A WW2 LOVE STORY' BOOK TALK/SIGNING BY 91-YEAR-OLD FORMER MONTCLAIR NATIVE STUART O'BRIEN

Wednesday, June 17 - 7:00 p.m. - Watchung Booksellers, 54 Fairfield Street, Montclair NJ

91-year-old first-time author Stuart O’Brien will speak about growing up in Montclair and why he wrote ‘Wildwood,’ (named for Montclair’s Wildwood Ave.) After being asked to speak at his 2003 Montclair HS 60th Reunion about a classmate who had died fighting in the Pacific during WW2, Stuart felt so compelled to additionally honor his friend’s memory that he spent the next 10-plus years creating the fiction-based-on-fact narrative, called ’Wildwood.’ It’s a ’Greatest Generation’ story of a youthful, exuberant, patriotic life snuffed out far too soon with a heart-breaking yet uplifting romance for the ages. National Award Bestseller author Reeve Lindbergh has called it “ ... a thoroughly compelling and often enchanting novel spanning 60 years of the 20th century.”
