3 Gunmen Invade Suffolk Home; Man Assaulted; Woman Restrained

Police believe the home was targeted early Tuesday.

MEDFORD, NY — A 29-year-old man was hospitalized after three men armed with handguns invaded a Suffolk County home early Tuesday, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, three men entered a home in the unit block of Locust Avenue South in Medford at about 12:30 a.m. A 29-year-old male occupant was assaulted. A female occupant was restrained but uninjured.

The robbers stole cash, jewelry and other items from the home before fleeing the scene. The 29-year-old man was transported via ambulance to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that the home was targeted, police said.
