Discover how to nourish your body, uplift your emotions, and elevate your energy in this practical, inspiring holistic wellness journey. Perfect for anyone seeking more clarity, joy, and well‑being, each holistic health presentation provides a warm, supportive environment and real‑life tools you can use right away to feel healthier, happier, and more aligned in your everyday life.
As per Harvard research "Emotional well-being is tightly linked to physical health, longevity and disease prevention." and "Happiness is a trainable skill, supported by evidence-based practices." In this month's health presentation, Carol Leitner will discuss how social connection, strong relationships, life purpose and meaning, gratitude, forgiveness, optimism and healthy behaviors help us to become happier people.

She will also discuss optimism and its relationship to decreased levels of inflammation, increased levels of the good cholesterol or HDL, improved gut health, etc. Note that only 25 to 30 percent of optimistic attitudes are heritable! Join us to hear all the evidenced-based research, and mindset practices which will teach you exactly how to become a happier and healthier person!
Carol Leitner, MBA, Health Care Administration, Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Baruch College, has been marketing, supporting and educating the holistic health community for over 20 years through Meet Up organizations totaling 7,000 members: The Wellness and Entrepreneurs Exchange, Holistic Living on Long Island, and The Long Island Entrepreneurs Meet Ups.

Carol was awarded The Outstanding Leadership award from Bob Proctor's organization for her work and dedication to the holistic health field. The McGarry “Love in Action” Foundation, Inc. was created in honor of my amazing parents, Kris, and Joe McGarry. They were foster parents in Nassau County for over thirty years, taking in countless foster children into their home. During that time, it became clear to them that the system was not preparing these foster children for success after they aged out of foster care. We seek to change that. We seek to raise awareness and funds to set up these young adults for a life that they can look forward to and where they can be successful in whatever endeavor they set out to do. Our foundation also seeks to provide financial support to families that are going through the hardship of dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Both of my parents passed away from cancer, and we experienced the time and the financial demands of such a diagnosis. We seek to ease such burdens so that families can spend quality time with their loved ones and take care of what’s important. My father was a former Marine and retired NYPD Officer, and he understood the importance of never leaving anyone behind as he provided a tremendous amount of support to his fellow police officers suffering from illnesses caused by their time at Ground Zero. It was his time at Ground Zero that would eventually take his life some 2 decades later. We would like to continue that work through our foundation.View Tickets & More Info
