His Ideals, however are tested when his lovely queen, Guenevere, falls in love with the young Knight, Lancelot and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance. Sailing is great for building confidence and responsibility while learning on the water skills and safety you'll carry with you your whole life!&nbsp; &nbsp; You can use club boats to learn - come enjoy the sailing community and the Great South&nbsp;Bay.
We have 4, 3, and 7-week sessions available with a Family Membership.&nbsp; Sessions start June 29th and end August 14th, 2026.

This is for a local youth from Sayville or the surrounding community (within Town of Islip/Town of Brookhaven)&nbsp;You have the opportunity to win a full-ride scholarship to take sailing lessons completely free between June 29 - Aug 14th, 2026 at Wet Pants Sailing Association, Inc. - now in our 92nd year on the Great South&nbsp;Bay!
The student must be able to commit to 4 days a week&nbsp;(Monday through Thursday)&nbsp;for 7 weeks/28 days, from 8am-10am (younger kids)&nbsp;or 10am-12pm (older kids)&nbsp; with transportation to the club unless you live close enough to walk or bike. You have the opportunity to win a full-ride scholarship to take sailing lessons completely free between June 29 - Aug 14th, 2026.&nbsp;&nbsp;

relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year
during the month of June.
Join us on this leisurely paced hike through Vineyard Field’s open
field trails and homemade Strawberry Shortcake afterward. Meet
at the SOFO Museum parking lot, 377 Bridgehampton Turnpike, 200 yards
north of the RR tracks.

Jones Beach State Park

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce the 2026 FourLeaf Air Show and Fireworks at Jones Beach State Park! 
Festivities will kick off on Saturday, July 4, Independence Day, with a Fireworks Program from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Following Fireworks will be the FourLeaf Air Show, on Sunday, July 5, and Monday, July 6 at 10:00am to 3:00pm, which will feature the United States Navy Blue Angels as the headliner. Created out of a desire to salute America’s heroes and bring a truly patriotic event to Jones Beach State Park, the FourLeaf Air Show has grown into the premier North American air show for the United States’ Semi-quincentennial (250th) Anniversary! Join us for a weekend we won’t forget! 
There is no general admission ticket needed to attend, just a $10 Vehicle Use Fee onsite.

Interested in an upgraded experience while also supporting recreational programs at state parks? The Jones Beach Chalet is just for you! Whether you’re attending with friends, family, colleagues, or clients, we have the space to suit your needs, and all proceeds will benefit state park programming. This experience takes place right on the sand at Jones Beach, next to the center point of the show. Entry allows guests to enjoy a fully catered Continental Breakfast, Hot and Cold Lunch Buffet, Beverage Service that includes beer, wine and soda, VIP Parking, and the use of Private Restroom facilities conveniently located for Chalet guests. For the July 4th Fireworks Chalet, the food service will be adjusted to include a Hot and Cold Dinner Buffet. Seating in the chalet is shared; however, full tables may be reserved.
Tickets for the 2026 Jones Beach Chalet are available to purchase now at <a href="https://www.fourleafairshow.com/hospitality/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.fourleafairshow.com/hospitality/</a>. Tickets are being sold at a discounted rate with an Early Bird Special being offered until May 31, 2026. After May 31, tickets will continue to be available at regular prices. Ticket sales will end July 1st.
The Chalet will be available for the following days:
Saturday, July 4 (Fireworks Program only): 5PM – 10PM
Sunday, July 5 (Air Show): 7AM – 4PM
Monday, July 6 (Air Show): 7AM – 4PM

Fire Fest ’26, presented by Engine 4 and Ladder 2 of the East Meadow Fire Department, raises funds for volunteer fire and EMS responders and benefits six local nonprofits, including The Ray Pfeifer Foundation, The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund, The Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center, Paws of War, GiGi’s Playhouse, and The Jesse Gerhard Memorial Foundation.&nbsp;
