Celebrate Italian-American culture, food, family and farming at the Annual San Gennaro Feast at Lenny Bruno Farms in Manorville, NY, on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
This two-day Long Island Italian festival brings the traditions of San Gennaro to the farm with authentic Italian food, live entertainment, local beer and wine, handcrafted artisan vendors, family activities and plenty of old-fashioned farm fun.
One of the most unique features of the San Gennaro Feast is its Farm-to-Truck experience. Participating food vendors incorporate fresh produce grown and harvested directly at Lenny Bruno Farms into the food they prepare for festival guests, connecting Long Island agriculture with the flavors and traditions of Italian cuisine.
Come hungry! Guests can explore a wide variety of Italian specialties and festival favorites while shopping a curated marketplace of local makers and handcrafted artisan vendors, including vendors featuring Italian-inspired products, foods, gifts and pieces celebrating Italian heritage.
There is plenty for families and children to enjoy throughout the farm, including pony rides, farm animal meet-and-greets, playground areas, jumbo garden games, face painting, henna, fairy hair tinsel, permanent jewelry, photo opportunities and more.
Guests can also experience more of the working farm with U-pick sunflowers and an educational farm hayride, available for an additional fee. Pick your own sunflowers to create a bouquet or take a ride through the farm while learning more about its history, agriculture and the generations of farmers behind it.
The celebration also honors the Italian roots of Lenny Bruno Farms, whose history dates back to the early 1930s when Italian immigrant Dominick Bruno established the farm. Generations later, the Bruno family’s agricultural legacy continues on the same Manorville land, making the San Gennaro Feast a fitting celebration of Italian heritage, family, food, farming and community.

San Gennaro Feast at Lenny Bruno Farms | Italian Festival in Manorville, Long Island

Discover what a legal career is really like by hearing directly from practicing professionals! Parents and teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to explore the legal field firsthand from three prominent attorneys from the Nassau County Bar Association: Ingrid J. Villagran, Ciara J. Villalona-Lockhart, and Adam Zabary. This event offers an insider’s look at the daily realities, challenges, and rewards of the legal field, giving you a unique opportunity to explore various legal paths firsthand. 

Ciara J. Villalona-Lockhart, Esq., received her B.A. in Politics and Religious Studies, cum laude, from New York University in May 2019 and earned her J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in May 2022. Her practice centers on advising school districts on general and labor matters, including employee and student investigations involving alleged conduct of discrimination and harassment, particularly those arising under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. She advised colleges and universities on state and federal regulatory compliance, accreditation, and governance matters. She also evaluated strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, for financially distressed institutions. 

Adam Zabary, Esq., earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. He specializes in landlord-tenant disputes and general commercial litigation, with additional expertise handling civil matters, personal injury, medical malpractice, matrimonial law, and trust and estate litigation. Adam represents clients across Nassau, Suffolk, and all five New York City boroughs, including at the appellate level. Known for his deep legal knowledge and pragmatic approach to dispute resolution, Adam recently successfully argued a rare late notice of claim against a municipality during the COVID-19 era, a victory featured in the New York Law Journal. He is also an instructor at the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) for the Nassau County Bar Association and Queens County Women’s Bar Association, teaching on evolving landlord-tenant laws, post-pandemic leasing strategies, and municipal claims.

 Ingrid J. Villagran, Esq., is a graduate of the Gonzaga University School of Law. She specializes in immigration and family law. Additionally, she serves as the Deputy Administrator of the Nassau County Bar Association Assigned Counsel Defender Plan, Inc.

Be it as a highly requested pianist, composer, orchestrator and conductor, New York based-, Colombian born Hector Martignon is featured on over a hundred albums in a wide spectrum of genres, from Classical and Crossover, to Jazz and World Music, to Rock and Pop, four Broadway Musicals (including Paul Simon’s Capeman) and multiple theater and film scores, including Ang Lee's OSCARnominated movie Eat, Drink, Man, Woman. Two of his solo CDs (Refugee, 2008, and Second Chance, 2010) were nominated for a GRAMMY Award.
He has toured the world with such greats as Ray Barretto (for whom Hector wrote over half of the compositions and arrangements), Paquito D'Rivera, Gato Barbieri, Steve Turre, Don Byron, Tito Puente and was featured pianist with Max Roach's famed Project America at the 92 St Y.
He is a requested guest-lecturer and performance professor in music faculties and academies in several countries of Europe, East Asia and North- and South America and wrote an instructional book on Latin piano commissioned and published by Hal Leonard.

Deconstructing Venus Examines Womanhood Through the Eyes of Women Artists<o:p></o:p>
For thousands of years, artists depicted the Roman goddess Venus as the embodiment of feminine beauty, youth, desire, and motherhood. A new exhibit by the Hofstra University Museum of Art set to open on Tuesday, September 8, explores what happens when 20th and 21st century women artists reinterpret those ideals through their experiences and modern perspectives.<o:p></o:p>

Deconstructing Venus, running at Hofstra’s Emily Lowe Gallery through December 11, 2026, challenges, reconsiders, and expands traditional ideas about femininity and women’s roles in society. Featured artists include Lee Krasner, Käthe Kollwitz, Elizabeth Catlett, Marisol, Lori Horowitz, Dee Shapiro, and featured contemporary artist Susan Grabel.<o:p></o:p>

Their works approach long-standing expectations of women from different vantage points, explained Sasha Giordano, director of the Hofstra Museum. “Some challenge conventional gender roles and beauty standards, while others embrace aspects of traditional womanhood or examine the constraints women have encountered in a male-dominated society,” she said. “Together, they explore themes including beauty, aging, intergenerational relationships, activism, identity, and significant life experiences.”<o:p></o:p>

Deconstructing Venus also includes works of non-Western art, demonstrating how women outside Europe and North America have responded to similar societal expectations and ideas surrounding gender and womanhood.<o:p></o:p>

“By bringing these varied perspectives together, Deconstructing Venus asks viewers to consider how ideas about women have been constructed over centuries – and what changes when women become the creators rather than simply the subjects of art,” Giordano added.<o:p></o:p>

This year’s festival has expanded significantly in scope over last year’s and will include 43 short and feature-length music documentary films, live performances, and Q&amp;A panel discussions to be held in two theaters. Featured artists in the films include Ann Wilson, Kenny Loggins, Billy Preston, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Biz Markie, Beastie Boys, James Taylor, Foo Fighters, Paquito D’Rivera, John Popper, Billy Joel, James, The Rose, Peter, Paul &amp; Mary, Iggy Pop, Nash the Slash, Eraserheads, Yello, Robert Charlebois, Alceu Valença, Madalitso Band, Sugar, Leiva, Mark Fry, and JVC Force, among others.
In addition to the United States, the festival includes films with ties to 14 other countries, including Canada, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Japan, the Philippines, Malawi, Brazil, Iran, Malta, and Australia. Sixteen of the films are premiering on Long Island, with three of them being world premieres.
