LONG ISLAND, NY — The weather across Long Island may look gloomy on Thursday evening into nightfall.

For Nassau County: AccuWeather reported slow-moving, heavy thunderstorms this evening, with the possibility that they may bring "flooding downpours." Wind gusts will be about 15 mph

Suffolk County: A heavy thunderstorm this evening with slow-moving storms, AccuWeather reported. According to the National Weather Service, the chance of rain will mainly be before 11 p.m.

East End: The chance of a thunderstorm is less likely, with only a 51 percent chance at 9 p.m. in East Hampton, according to AccuWeather, and according to NWS, the possibility of showers will be overnight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
