Rockville Centre resident Gillen told Patch she has deep roots in her district:

"As one of five children, I grew up in Baldwin with my three brothers and a sister. My parents also grew up in Baldwin. I am now married and raising my four children in Rockville Centre. My grandfather immigrated to Long Island from Italy to build a better life for his family. He worked hard as a sanitation worker for the Town of Hempstead to make ends meet. I’m proud to carry on my grandfather’s example of hard work and resilience."

She told Patch that she wants to help bring down the cost of gas and everyday goods.

"I have brought back more than $59 million in federal funding for Nassau County for public safety, clean water, flood protection, safer roads, public transportation and improving our libraries and public parks," she said. "Multiple independent organizations have named me one of the most bipartisan members of Congress because of my record of working across the aisle. In the minority party, I also passed my first bill introduced in Congress to extend TPS for law-abiding Haitian recipients on a bipartisan basis."

Gillen added:

"I am running for reelection because I believe Congress needs representatives who are focused on solving the problems facing the American people, not engaging in partisan politics."

Driscoll has been the current Town of Hempstead's Receiver of Taxes since 2023.

According to Driscoll's website, Bellerose resident Driscoll has "helped local homeowners save millions on their property tax bills through exemptions on their county, town, and school district taxes and helped them lower their assessments."

Gillen's website also states:

"Jeanine is running for Congress to build upon her record of protecting Nassau taxpayers. She will continue fighting to lower the tax burden by restoring the full State and Local Tax (SALT) Deduction and providing additional relief for Nassau County families and seniors."

According to the Libertarian's website, Blay Tarnoff has a background in mathematics and law, and has been a Libertarian activist and representative since 1990.

The website states: "He is currently County Chair of the Nassau County Libertarian Party and Immediate Past Chair of the Libertarian National Judicial Committee. He has spent his career as a computer systems analyst, most recently as technical support for quantitative financial analysts on Wall Street and neural network system developer and presenter at nVidia GPU Technology Conferences."
