DA Announces Arrest in Illegal Weapon Sale and Possession

DA Sini and SCPD announced the arrest of Patchogue man for the illegal Sale of an illegal AR-15 Assault Rifle and High Capacity Magazines, Possession of Illegal Firearms. A search warrant resulted in seizure of 48 Firearms, Illegal Knives and Cache of High Capacity Magazines, Including a 50-round Drum out of a residence in Patchogue. The arrest was made by Suffolk County Police officers as a result of a search warrant executed at the house on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

When asked by this reporter as to the safety of our children and the residents of Suffolk County, considering the size of this seizure, DA Sini responded that the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office has coordinated with the Suffolk County Police Department and has established a division designed to respond and handle potential active shooter situations. DA Sini stated that his office and the Suffolk County Police Department are prepared and will do everything necessary to protect the residents of Suffolk County.
