Girl Scouts of Nassau County Honor Hicksville Residents
Event Recognizes Outstanding Girl Scout Champions Whose Volunteerism Has Left a Lasting Impact on Girls All Over Nassau County
Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently honored Hicksville residents Emily Hartman-Williams, Judy Stenson and Stephen Viola, at its 2024 Annual Adult Recognitions Award Ceremony and Dinner. The annual event, which was held at the New hyde Park Innon March 21, recognizes and celebrates the adult volunteers for their service to Girl Scouts of Nassau County and to their communities. Hartman-Williams, Stenson and Viola were among 110 honorees throughout Nassau County.
“Without the selfless, hard work of all our volunteers, Girl Scouts of Nassau County could not thrive like we do in our communities. Each of our Adult Recognition Honorees has made a significant impact on our organization and help spread the Girl Sout mission. Thanks to their contributions we are able to continue building girls of courage, confidence and character, who continue to make this world a better place. said Randell Bynum, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Nassau County.
Hartman-Williams was awarded the 20 Year Service Pin and 35 Year Tenure Pin. The 20 Year Service Pin serves to recognize an adult member registered with Girl Scouts of the USA for their volunteer service, while the 35 Year Tenure Pin recognizes an adult member with 35 total years of service in Girl Scouts.

Stenson and Viola were awarded the GSNC Courage, Confidence, and Character Certificate which recognizes an adult volunteer who has demonstrated extraordinary efforts to advocate in our Girl Scout’s best interest with courage, confidence, and character.
