Girl Scouts of Nassau County Honors East Norwich Resident
Event Recognizes Outstanding Girl Scout Champions Whose Volunteerism Has Left a Lasting Impact on Girls All Over Nassau County

Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently honored East Norwich resident Lynn McDonnell, at its 2024 Annual Adult Recognitions Award Ceremony and Dinner. The annual event, which was held at the Inn at New Hyde Park on March 21, recognizes and celebrates the adult volunteers for their service to Girl Scouts of Nassau County and to their communities. McDonnell was among 110 honorees throughout Nassau County.
“It is because of the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers, that Girl Scouts of Nassau County can provide impactful leadership opportunities for girls in our area. Each of our Adult Recognitions Honorees has made a significant impact on our organization and help spread the Girl Scout mission,” said Randell Bynum, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “Thanks to their contributions, we can continue building girls of courage, confidence and character, who continue to make this world a better place.”
McDonnell was awarded the Thanks Badge, which recognizes an individual whose continuous dedication, leadership, and service have made a remarkable and quantifiable difference in achieving the mission-driven objectives and priorities of either the entire council or the broader Girl Scout Movement.
