Girl Scouts of Nassau County Honors Elmont Residents

Event Recognizes Outstanding Girl Scout Champions Whose Volunteerism Has Left a Lasting Impact on Girls All Over Nassau County

Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently honored Elmont residents Laura Becker, Alexis Greaves, Karol Greaves and Jennifer Marshat the Inn at New Hyde Park on March 21, recognizing and celebrating the adult volunteers for their service to Girl Scouts of Nassau County and to their communities. Becker, A. Greaves, K. Greaves and Marsh were among 110 honorees throughout Nassau County.

“It is because of the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers, that Girl Scouts of Nassau County can provide impactful leadership opportunities for girls in our area. Each of our Adult Recognitions Honorees has made a significant impact on our organization and help spread the Girl Scout mission,” said Randell Bynum, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “Thanks to their contributions, we can continue building girls of courage, confidence and character, who continue to make this world a better place.”

Becker was awarded the Spotlight (SUVM) Certificate This GSNC certificate is awarded to Service Unit Volunteer Managers for their outstanding leadership as reflected by their strong commitment to champion leaders by delivering the Girl Scout experience to our girls and the community.

A. Greaves, K. Greaves and Marsh were was awarded the GSNC Courage, Confidence and Character Certificate for Volunteers. This award recognizes those that have exercised major efforts to be pioneers for instilling courage, confidence and character into the young girls of their Girl Scout troop.
