Meeka Is Looking For A Second Chance After Recent Adoption

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Meeka thought she had found her forever home, but after a recent adoption, she was returned to North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington when she did not get along with the resident cat.

Now, the striking black-and-white feline is searching for a second chance with a family where she can be the only pet.

Shelter staff believe Meeka would thrive in a calm, quiet home with older children who will give her the time and space to settle in at her own pace.

Meeka has a thoughtful, gentle personality and enjoys relaxing with the people she trusts. One of her favorite ways to ask for attention is by rolling onto her back to show off her belly, a charming habit that highlights her affectionate side.
