Potholes, Road Problems? Suffolk 311 Offers Fast Online Reporting System
The 24/7 system allows Suffolk residents to report potholes, tree issues, and more directly to DPW, officials say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Spot a pothole or road issue on your commute? Suffolk County officials say you don’t have to wait on hold to report it.
County Executive Ed Romaine is reminding residents they can submit requests through Suffolk 311, an online system that allows users to report potholes, road defects, tree maintenance issues, and more.
The platform is available 24/7 and is designed to quickly connect residents with the county’s Department of Public Works.

“In minutes, you can complete a request and alert DPW of potholes, road defects, tree maintenance and more,” Romaine said. “Suffolk County DPW estimates a five-day response time from the moment of submission.”
If the issue is not on a county road, the system will direct users to the appropriate agency responsible for that roadway, whether it is maintained by the state, town or village.
