Garden City resident Scianablo is a retired NYPD officer, former Marine combat veteran, and former prosecutor with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
"These roles required leadership, accountability, sound judgment, and the ability to make difficult decisions under pressure," he told Patch. "I believe Town government should serve residents first, not political insiders."
Scianablo told Patch that small businesses are the backbone of our communities.
"I will streamline Town permitting, reduce unnecessary red tape, expand access to grants and resources, and partner with workforce development programs to help businesses find qualified employees," he said.
According to the Town's website, incumbent Ferretti became Hempstead Town Supervisor on August 5, 2025.
"A four-term Nassau County Legislator, Ferretti brings nearly two decades of experience in government and public service," the website states.
The website added:
"As a legislator, he spearheaded legislation that includes assisting veterans who are struggling with addiction, requiring signage at all red light camera intersections, and eliminating dangerous bicycle “ride-outs.” After his family dog was viciously attacked by another, Ferretti drafted a law to require that dogs deemed to be dangerous are placed on a registry so area residents can be more aware of a potential danger in their neighborhood."
Results are unofficial until certified by the Nassau County Board of Elections.
