The program is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Suffolk County’s JumpSMART Small Business Downtown Investment Program.

The grant supports local businesses by covering Trellus delivery subscription costs and delivery related services, helping entrepreneurs save time, improve operational efficiency, and reach more customers throughout Long Island. Businesses can also benefit from marketing support and promotional visibility through the initiative.

“Small businesses remain the backbone of Suffolk County’s economy, and this program is designed to provide practical tools that help them compete and grow,” said Phil Andrews.

“This is more than a grant program it is an economic empowerment initiative that helps local businesses modernize operations, improve customer access, and strengthen long-term sustainability within our communities.”

The program particularly encourages participation from minority-owned, women-owned, underserved, and community-based businesses that may have historically faced barriers to accessing capital and business growth resources.

“Today’s consumers expect fast and reliable delivery options,” Andrews said. “Through this partnership with Trellus, we are helping Suffolk County small businesses access affordable delivery infrastructure and marketing support that can help increase sales and strengthen customer relationships.”

Eligible businesses must be located in Suffolk County and meet applicable small business eligibility requirements. Funding is limited and applications are being accepted on a rolling basis while funds remain available.
