Where To Enjoy Easter Brunch Or Dinner On Long Island

Eight Easter brunch and dinner spots on Long Island.

LONG ISLAND, NY — For families who want Easter brunch or dinner, along with the luxury of not having to cook it themselves, several Long Island restaurants will be open Sunday, April 5, to take care of the preparation.

Don’t waste time, though. Tables book quickly.

Here are a few choices from the online reservation service OpenTable:

In Nassau County, King Umberto in Elmont has tables available starting at 11:15 a.m., serving up an Italian menu with gluten free and vegan options and a rotating list of specials. There’s also a children’s menu, for any of the younger crowd who are coming out to brunch.

There’s also East Meadow’s The Union, with openings starting at 10:30 a.m. for diners who want to try a globally inspired food menu or the broad range of cocktails from the bar. If your ideal Easter brunch menu features some combination of sushi, pizza and burgers, this is the place for you.

Further south, there’s Bluebird Kitchen in Bellmore, with Easter morning openings starting at 10 a.m. in a space that offers a wide array of eggs benedict and breakfast sandwich options, and can accommodate a private party on request.

And for a refined French take on your classic brunch, Port Washington’s La P’Tite Framboise is serving up a French toast that was named Long Island’s best on its daily brunch menu.

Meanwhile in Suffolk, The LakeHouse in Bay Shore has a little bit of whatever kind of hospitality you’re looking for. Views of the water? Check. A fireplace? Check. Multiple, in fact. All providing the backdrop for a menu that blends brunch classics with a seafood selection fitting for a restaurant so close to the waterfront.

Also available to guests starting at 11 a.m. on Easter is the Stone Goat in St. James, a two-story American restaurant that offers equal parts elevated dining and pub grub. Whatever your preference on Easter morning, there’s a good chance it can be ordered here.

If you’re on the East End, you’re not out of luck! Places like Jedediah Hawkins and Captain Jack’s on the Coast have openings Easter morning at 11 a.m. and 10 a.m. respectively, giving you plenty of options to celebrate with the perfect bite to eat.

Several casual restaurants are open for Easter as well, including Applebee’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s, Fogo de Chao, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Red Lobster and Texas Roadhouse.

As always, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure the chain locations near you are open.
