LONG ISLAND, NY — Dot cakes have caused a frenzy in Manhattan with lines wrapping around streets, and now, the viral dessert has popped up across Long Island.
These desserts can have any cake base, including vanilla, funfetti, red velvet, carrot cake, chocolate, and more, with sweet frosting and sprinkles on top.
Many local bake shops and grocery stores are now carrying the colorful personal-sized cake. Here are some locations — give a call beforehand to ensure the shops have the cakes in stock:

- The Dot Cakes — located at 121 Mineola Ave. in
Roslyn. The shop has walk-in stock options, but recommends booking an order in advance. - Stew Leonard's – located at 261 Airport Plaza Blvd. Space 5, Farmingdale. Known for its unique animatronics and theatrical shopping experience, this grocery store is keeping up with trends.
- Front Street Bakery – located at 51 Front St. in Rockville Centre. This old-fashioned and family-run bakery has been serving up sweets for more than 50 years.
- Glucia's Eatery – an online shop, with a Mineola storefront coming soon. It specializes in gluten-free sweets, including the viral dot cake.
- Alpine Pastry Shoppe — located at 59 Route 111 in Smithtown. The Cuccia veteran and family-owned bakery has been serving Italian wedding cakes, desserts, and pastries in Smithtown for more than 25 years.
- Zio's Casa Di Dolce — located at 3649 Merrick Rd. in Seaford. The traditional Italian bakery has classic desserts, as well as a unique variety of modern twists, such as rainbow cookie donuts and Knicks-themed dot cakes.
- Princess Bakery — located at 1334 Hicksville Rd. in Massapequa. This North Massapequa bakery specializes in special occasion cakes and treats.
