LONG ISLAND, NY — Cherry blossom season is in full bloom on Long Island. Here's where to see the soft pinks and white hues this spring from Nassau to Suffolk County.

Keep in mind, while peak bloom usually falls between late March and early April, some blossoms linger into mid-to-late April. Varieties like Kwanzan, Yoshino, and weeping cherry trees showcase the diversity of the sakura species and create scenic spring displays.

There are cherry blossom events, like the Branches in Bloom Festival at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay on April 25 and 26, or the 2026 Sakura Matsuri: Cherry Blossom Festival at Stony Brook University.
