The would-be thief assaulted the victim in broad daylight last week.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A fashionista would-be thief assaulted a man in broad daylight after he attempted to steal his BMW because the wheels matched his shirt, police said.

On Sept. 9, the 27-year-old victim was sitting in his white BMW 428i coupe parked at the corner of East Houston and Pitt streets around 1:25 p.m.
