Police Hunt A Dozen Suspects After Lower East Side Slashing

Authorities are looking for up to 12 suspects who fled after a man was slashed in the face on the Lower East Side Sunday, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are hunting for about a dozen men who fled after a victim was slashed in the face under the Manhattan Bridge Sunday evening, officials said.

The man was sliced on South Street near Market Slip at approximately 5:30 p.m. Emergency responders rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear why the man was attacked, police said.
