• Hudson Valley Bus Monitor Accused of Assaulting Student (wgna.com) — Mahopac families are learning that a bus monitor from Yorktown has been charged after an alleged assault on a 12‑year‑old aboard a Mahopac Central School District bus earlier this month. Sheriff’s officials say surveillance video led to misdemeanor assault and child endangerment charges, and a judge has issued an order of protection for the student.
   

• Putnam Swimmers Go 1-1 (putnampresstimes.com) — Mahopac student‑athletes had a big week, with the combined Mahopac/Putnam Valley/Carmel swim team splitting two meets and several swimmers hitting state-qualifying times. Mahopac runners and soccer players also shined, including a top‑10 finish at a major Bronx cross‑country invitational and a two‑goal performance that powered a league soccer win.
