Adoptable Animal of the Week: Meet Rose

This loving little lady is looking for her forever family.

Name: Rose

Case Number: #TBD

Oh, hello. My name is Rose. It's nice to meet you. If you're considering adopting a dog, I think I could be your perfect companion. I am a sweet, loving little lady. Though I may be somewhat shy at first, once I make friends with someone, I love them forever!

I’m not terribly playful now, but I may become more so once I'm out of the shelter I've been stay in as I wait to be adopted and in my new home. Due to my shyness, I may be more comfortable in a household of tweens and up. I’m comfortable with all types of handling and will readily share my food with people.

Although I tend to get a little shy with unusual new people (those who limp or where a hood for instance) if given some time, I will make friends with them. Patient introductions with people who concern me, with treats involved, will help me get more comfortable with them.

While I’ve lived with another dog, he may have been my only doggie friend. I don’t tolerate whippersnappers at all, am very avoidant of other dogs, and would prefer to be the only dog in the household.

I have already had some training (I know sit and come, among other commands) and am eager to learn more for a taste of my favorite treats! Training may help build my confidence and will help us forge a relationship.
