Armed Man Robs Valley Stream Gas Station

A man armed with a gun and knife robbed a Valley Stream gas station early Thursday, police said.

According to police, the man entered the Sunoco station located at 1200 Rockaway Avenue at 3:22 a.m., displayed a gold colored handgun and a hunting knife and demanded money from a clerk.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, the robber fled on foot westbound on Rockaway Avenue, police said. No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as black, 5-foot-8 and in his early 20s. He was wearing a black ski mask, khaki jacket, black pants and black gloves.
