Arrest Made From Fight Escalating Into Shooting In Lynbrook: Police
Vincent Lynch was taken into custody on Monday for attempted murder last month, police said.

LYNBROOK, NY — A man was arrested and faces an attempted murder charge stemming from a shooting last month in Lynbrook.
An investigation led NYPD detectives to take Vincent Lynch, 36, of Jamaica, Queens, into custody Monday night, police said.
During the overnight hours of Dec. 19, Lynch and a 27-year-old man were passengers in a parked, gray BMW on Merrick Road in Lynbrook, police said.

A fight led to Lynch pulling out a gun and firing a shot at the victim, who was driven to an area hospital for treatment, detectives said.
Charges against Lynch include attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal use of a firearm.

He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Hempstead.
Lynch was previously arrested in Queens on a robbery charge in November. He was released without bail and was scheduled to court next month, authorities said.
