Malverne Resident and FDNY Fire Inspector Publishes Debut Novel

A T M Haidar Khan, a Fire Protection Inspector with the FDNY and longtime Malverne resident, has published his debut novel, The Silence Between Two Heartbeats, now available on Barnes & Noble

The book is a true story beginning in the late summer of 2023, following his young daughter’s extraordinary courage through fear and hope. It weaves a real hospital-corridor journey together with a parallel fairytale world of ancient owls, enchanted castles, and a fearless “little lioness” — told partly in prose, partly in fable, as a father’s tribute to his daughter.
